As an out of state investor (which we are), you have to have 100% trust in your agent to 1) know the market & local regulations extremely well 2) know how to structure offers to win but not “overpay” 3) have the local connections to get everything efficiently & cost effectively done that needs to be 4) be a great communicator and willing to FaceTime or do whatever is needed virtually in order for you to feel comfortable with each step of the process. Mel checks all of these boxes and so much more. She’s insanely personable, honest, hard-working, an excellent communicator, can immediately give you information like expected rents for the properties, and will let you know if she thinks you’ll be able to get a great return on your investment or not. But maybe what I love most about Mel is that she has this way of being super efficient. I know she has a lot of clients she’s working with, but somehow she makes you feel like you’re her only one. It’s so refreshing. AND we loved her so much as an agent that we have entrusted her to setup, decorate and cohost our midterm rental property which is already performing better than we could have expected.
